Coaching Overview

 COACH DEVELOPMENT

Becoming a better rowing coach is not simply about talking a course and “ticking the box”. It is an on-going process that has many branches and avenues to go down.

The Auckland Rowing Association and the Auckland RPC have been working together over the past few months to put together coach development and coaching opportunities for our Auckland coaches

The combined programme seeks to provide effective and on-going coach education, support, and development to increase the quality and effectiveness of Auckland Rowing Coaches

Coaching Pathway (Levels & Opportunities)

Not all coaches aspire to coach elite level crews and nor should they. There are expert coaches at all levels. Below is simply a list of representational coaching positions that we encourage Auckland coaches to put their name forward for.

Should you aspire to become an Elite Coach then working upwards through these “levels” would provide you with a solid development pathway
